BUILT ENVIRONMENT

Built Environment Virtual Field Trip is included in the e-portfolio because it's homework given by the lecturer to write about our opinions on what we learned from the video and I will say it's fascinating how people can build this without proper education, the small summary I've made is how I felt about it

The Importance of Built Environment to the community, people & natioN

There are various reasons the built environment is very important to the community, one of it is their safety and their loved ones as the build is supposed to be a place where they can call home and home is supposed to be a safe place for everyone where they can relax without fear.
Fear is the next thing, especially people in poverty who couldn't afford a more stable place where they had to build their own homes on the hillside which is very dangerous as sometimes the land can cause a massive landslide. If there is an expert in the built environment, they would know the condition of the place before the building, so the safety of everyone can be guaranteed. To the poverty, a stable home without the fear of collapsing is what they need where their family is safe, so they can continue their lives without fear.
The built environments can also affect health, as they are inextricably linked. Debating the environment of the place especially in Rio where in favelas it's a close-knitted place and during this pandemic time it could actually spread the virus faster and the ventilation of the place can be very stuffed for the people there. A close-knitted space can make a person feel trapped like claustrophobia, uncomfortable and irritated
